The classes are a developmental program designed to teach athletes to learn new skills and improve strength and flexibility, and eventually become a part of our Competitive Team. Developmental Team programs are as follows:
A program for girls ages 4-6 designed to develop the skills necessary for joining the Girl’s Competitive Team Program. The athletes practice between 2 days per week for about 2 hours each session. They train level 1/2 JO compulsary skills.
Prep Op: A program for girls ages 7+ designed to develop the skills necessary for joining the Girl’s Competitive Team Program. The athletes practice between 2 days per week for about 2 hours each session. They train level 2/3 JO compulsary skills and routines.
Pre-Compettive Boys Classes
Talented boys ages 5+ are invited to develop skills on the six men’s events: pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, high bar, vault, and floor. The boys come twice a week for 2 hours to learn basic gymnastic skills on the various apparatus.
(Tumble Tigers) Invitational Preschool Program
Designed for girls ages 3/4 to prepare the gymnasts for the Mini-mites program. They train for 1 hr two days a week. The BGA teaches classes at many of the preschools across the island, and over the course of the semester, we invite many young girls to continue their gymnastics practice at our main facility in St. Davids.
