FUNDRAISING

Over the past few years, the children and parents of the association have taken part in many fund-raising events. Some of our events include:

     --Bingo
     --Bowling nights
     --Supermarket packing
     --Setting up stalls/raffles
     --Cartwheel-a-thons/Jump-o-thons

The money that is raised is used to purchase new equipment for our team and camps, as well as to allow out athletes to travel and represent Bermuda in various international competitions.

GYMNASTICS OUTREACH DAY
February 11, 2012
This year the BGA participated in a Gymnastics Outreach Day where our competitive team athletes helped coach our Saturday classes at the National Training Center, Whitney Institute and Sandy's 360. All of the girls had a great time passing on their knowledge of gymnastics to our recreational athletes. Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

BODYBUILDING/FAMILY FUN FAIR
To end out the summer, our athletes participated in two performances.

The girls were the opening act for Bermuda's "Night of Champions" Body Building & Fitness competition at Cedarbridge School.
Then, the girls and some of our boys team performed at Corporation of Hamilton's Family Fun Fair on the Town Hall Stage.

The gymnasts practiced their routine all summer and they definitely wowed the crowd with their flips! Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

ACE VOLUNTEER DAY
Last week, some of our team gymnasts spent the morning helping volunteers from the Center on Philanthropy's ACE interns. The group helped revamp the National Training Center by painting, moving equipment and cleaning out the gym. The girls all had a blast and got to show the interns all some gymnastics!

IRON KIDS DEMONSTRATION
This Saturday, June 25th, we invited our team gymnasts to perform in a demonstration at the Iron Kids Celebration at Clearwater Beach. Between performances from the National Drumline and Bermuda's own Dotty the Clown, the gymnasts wowed the crowd with their jumps and flips.
